Log Cabin Pouch
You probably realised that I have been in a "pouchy" mood lately. This is my third pouch in a very short time and I am sorry if I have made you feel bored. I do get stuck sometimes and I do like challenging myself and trying new things, but most of all, I get easily distracted with new or not so new ideas. I got so excited after making the first zip pouch, that I simply had to make another one. Just to hone my newly acquired skills of zip attachment. I like all the fabrics mixed together in this little zippy.

Zip, Hexagons and Wonderful News
I had a feeling that everywhere I looked lately, I saw hexagons. Large, tiny, monochrome, colourful, with flowers, with dots... Even when I cut out the picture for my colour therapy, I could see some hexagons there. So no wonder that I ended up whipping up some paper pieced hexies and making this small, and hopefully useful, item.

Origami Fabric Pouch
Look at this little cutie! I always wanted to try fabric origami and last week I got a chance to do just that.

Ticker Tape Quilting
I had this "thing" on my "To Do" list for more than a year. I could not decide on the design first, then I didn't really see any need for it since I was using my machine pretty much on daily basis. But when I broke my arm and had to stay away from the machine, I could not believe how dusty it got in just two weeks. I didn't like that, not at all. So it was time to act. Act fast.

Breakfast, Anyone?
Sunday breakfast is always my favourite. Why? Because Sunday is the only day when we don't have to get up early in the morning and rush out the door. It's the day when we can take all the time we wish to sleep in and to cook something a bit extra special, get all together, enjoy our first meal of the day, sip coffee and chat. Simple pleasure.

Treats For Friends and Pretty Bags
It's that time of the year again when we all overload ourselves and our loved ones on chocolates. Bunnies, chicks, baby lambs, eggs of all sorts, sizes and colours. Simply scrumptious! Easter treats are special, they come in beautiful pastel wrapping paper and bags, and even eggs are coated in soft, delicate colours. Don't forget about freshly baked delicious hot cross buns. Yum! So, yesterday I was packing some treats for friends, I was putting them in paper gift bags that I bought thinking that it would be too much for my poor hand to sew any gifts that I planned... mug rugs, apples, bunting. Well, half way through I stopped packing and went to my sewing nook, pulled some lovely pinkish pastel fabrics of the shelves and started sewing. That's just me.

Work in Progress: Very Slow
This is what's on my work desk at the moment. A few projects are happening at the same time. The progress is very slow because I can sew only for a few minutes at a time. But it's much better than not being able to sew at all. I had to readjust my projects and stick with simple lines and stitches, something that I can do mostly with left hand. It's amazing how inventive you become due to certain circumstances.
I really like all these prints, it was a small charm pack that I found in a shop some time ago. It's such a happy and sunny combination of cute animals, stripes, letters and warm colours. I am making a small gift for a very special baby boy and creating new cross-stitch patterns along the way.
