All the pretty pieces were purchased on Etsy from the MissMatatabi and Washimatta stores. Right now I am not sure what to use them for, I just like looking at them and patting them, and displaying them on a shelf in my sewing nook. Did you ever collect pretty candy wrappers or wrappers from Japanese bubble gum as a child? We did. We used to keep them in special boxes or purses and would trade them, swap them or just sit and look at them and try copy cute drawings on them. So I feel a bit like a child when it comes to pretty fabrics - I want to keep it, maybe swap it and look at it from time to time or maybe most of the time.
Ain't these bunnies cute? I thought so and got this piece hoping to make something for Easter. I picked both prints at Spotlight on my last visit there a couple of weeks ago. When I look at my stash and the limited time I have for sewing nowadays, I think that my stash is already quite big and I should stop buying any more, but when I am working on a new idea, I do feel like I need more and more pretty prints just for the future. When I have more time again. :-)
Have a wonderful week everybody! Larisa xox
hi :)
ReplyDeleteI know how pretty stash keeps one warm inside...more possibilities with each new addition...and so many colours to stock up on...
I like prints with text and recipes. Who can resist little berries and plants...
Pleasant week and thank you for sharing
Thank you for visiting my blog, Lily! I cannot agree with you more. Pretty fabric makes me feel so good even if I am just looking at it. I am slowly falling in love with text prints. There are so many inspirations out there. Have a wonderful week too! :-)
DeleteWell, you couldn't leave those lovely prints in the shop, could you? Hee hee hee.
ReplyDeleteNo, not at all, Dina... They just had to come with me. You can never have too much fabric, right? :-) xox
DeleteSo pretty! What is the top fabric in the second picture?? X
ReplyDeleteThese are very pretty prints indeed! The top one in the second photo is Spring Garden in pink by Yuwa (Fourson Collection printed by Yuwa). It's lovely!
DeleteThanks Larisa, only just found your blog (and started crafting) and seems to be losing hours here looking at the lovely things you make!
DeleteYou are welcome! I am so glad you are enjoying my blog. Sewing really is so much fun! But please do not spend too much time just looking, keep crafting! :-)
