Flex Frame Pouch with Roses

Linen, pretty cotton with roses, lace and a tiny touch of embroidery. That's the recipe for the new flex frame pouch.

This pouch was done in a slightly different way using a single piece of fabric for the body and the frame instead of two separate pieces. The corners at the bottom are rounded to soften up the shape of the pouch. The handmade linen ribbon that I made some time ago was used for a tag.

A delicate single rose made with bullion stitches. This was my first ever attempt at making a rose using bullion stitch. I used a pink gradient embroidery floss and I think it gave the rose more depth. I really like this new stitch and can see many new ways of using it in the future.

I chose the bright pink cotton with white flowers for the lining to complement the tiny roses on the outside. The back side of the pouch is plain linen without any extra details.

The pouch is small but still can fit quite a few sewing accessories or some other small items. Thanks to the flex frame it's so easy to open and close too.

It seems like I can't get over my Spring mood sewing just yet. I can see that many of you are getting into the Christmas spirit and coming up with lovely ideas and projects. I think I am trying really hard this year to stretch the lovely cool Spring and to take my time before Christmas when the heat and the biting sun of the Summer come. Larisa xox

    1. I tried staying away from pink, I thought I had too much of it in my life (pink is my childhood affair) but now I realised that it's never enough of pink and pretty flowers. I love pastels and pink in particular. Thank you, Gina, for your lovely comment!
