Oh my! I can't believe that I left it till almost the very last minute this time around. So much planning, organising, thinking through, sketching, but still only two nights ago I managed to finish this Artist Trading Card.
I even wrote a guest post for VeryBerryHandmade blog which was a new experience for me, but still I ended up leaving the final work till the last moment. Well, I suppose that's alright as long as I post it on time.
This time I chose to do free motion machine stitching with a tiny touch of french knots for the cherries. I used a small piece of white chiffon for the dollop of cream on top of the pie. Oh, if you don't know, the theme for this round was "Winter Comforts" which is a cup of tea with a slice of lemon and a piece of rustic cherry pie for me. I tend to do much more baking in winter than in summer.
Now I have to pack this little piece and send it far away to its final destination to my partner. As many times before, I don't feel very confident with my final work, but I really do hope that my partner likes it as much as I like my winter comfort and as much as I enjoyed making it.
Hmm... I think next time I am here, I might share the recipe with you for this cherry pie. It really is delicious, very easy to make and goes so well with some cream or ice cream no matter what season it is. Have a delicious day! Larisa xox
Larisa this is lovely, as usual :)! I feel unsure about my work in the end, same as you, but you shouldn’t, at all! Btw, I would love to learn your cherry pie recipe!x
ReplyDeleteAnn, thank you so much for your kind words! I think we all suffer from doubting our work from time to time. Maybe if we didn't, we wouldn't grow and learn. :-) I just hope that my partner likes the card. I would love to share my recipe with you, I am working on that post already. :-)
