Great News

I just have to share my great news with you. I am so happy! Truly, I am! I went to see the surgeon and got wonderful news - I don't need a surgery. Hooray!!! Little by little, my wrist/hand/arm is getting better. I can straighten my fingers now and it feels great. Like a stretch you get when you wake up in the morning. There is no strength in them yet and they look like yellow sausages, but I am getting some control back and can hold something as light as a cookie or a Twix finger. Oh! It feels so good to be able to have a cup of tea and use my both hands! It still hurts but not that much really.

I had to get a new, fancy fiberglass cast (for the next four weeks) that is breathable and waterproof as well. Yay!  It's so light and, I have to admit, comfortable after that huge and bulky plaster one, and it makes me feel safe when I am out and about. And how cool the colour is! It's my favourite. So I should say I am twice lucky. :-)

Thank you all so much for your lovely, kind wishes and for finding the time to visit my little world. It warms up my heart and means a lot to me. Thank you!

Hope your day brings you some great news too! Larisa xo

    1. Thank you, Gina! Absolutely! I am already thinking of something super easy that I can manage with mostly one hand. Sewing would be a great physiotherapy for my wrist. :-)

  2. Woohoo! That's great! I am sooooooo pleased for you. And I love the colour of your cast - will you do something creative with it after it comes off?

    1. Thank you so much, Dina! I think I might leave the cast behind, would not want to have a reminder of pain around and after three and half weeks I would be desperate to get rid of it. But the colour is great! :-)
