New Exhibits at the Gallery

Welcome to my tiny Artist Trading Cards gallery again!  I am happy to present you a new exhibition called "Spring". As you might know, I am participating in Very Berry Handmade Artist Trading Card Swap 3. I have completed three cards and I think I am ready to stop now. Even though I was supposed to make only one card, I could not help myself and made three. I just love working on small projects, playing around with fabric scraps and tiny stitches.

"Spring Morning" is the first card that was completed. It has been influenced by my recently developed interest in paper piecing. I tried making it look like a Polaroid Quilt Block but I am not sure if it worked.

The "Spring Came" card has been inspired by a set of small stamps that I bought not long ago for a different project that I can't wait to share with you. It's so much fun using stamps on fabric! This card makes me think of beautiful landscapes of New Zealand. Velvety green hills and flocks of sheep peacefully wondering around. What a magical place New Zealand is!

This card is called "You've Got Mail". It was an absolute pleasure to make. So simple but quite cute. It was a small mettal box filled with fabric stamps that I saw on my shelf that inspired me to make this card. Just a short message to Summer from Winter. Just for fun.

I have not decided yet which card I am going to send to my partner. I still have a week and a bit to think about it. Which one would you choose if it was for you?

  1. They are all beautiful. The stamped and quilted landscapes are lovely and the postcard is such a great idea! Your choice of colours is just right too - it would be hard for your partner to choose.

    1. Thank you, Catherine! I keep changing my mind, I might flip a coin as Gina suggested. I wish I could simply stop at number one and make no more cards but it won't be me then. So much fun! :-)

    1. Thank you, Gina! They are fun to make! I might take your advice and flip a coin to help me make a choice. My family said that all three cards should stay at home and I should make a new one for the swap. Hehe...
