Winter Sparkle

The Artist Trading Card for the VeryBerryHandmade Swap, Winter Sparkle, is completed and ready to be sent away to its final destination. This time around I decided to try using a few different fabrics along with stamps, beards and sequence. And here is the result. A bit of sparkles, a bit of red, a bit of Christmas and plenty of white.

I used a heavy weight natural fabric for the base of the card. Then I stitched a few layers of white chiffon on the top part of the card and stamped Merry Christmas in red ink. For the bottom part of the card I used this pretty sequence material that sparkles a lot.

Then came the fun part of making a teeny weeny mitten, a gingerbread house and a stocking. The mitten is even smaller than the one I made for the gift tag. It's about one inch long and the gingerbread house is even smaller. It was a bit fiddly to make and the stitches had to be truly tiny but it was a lot of fun. Once all the pieces were ready, I attached the bakers twine to the card and then attached the hanging ornaments.

The card was made with the warmest wishes for my secret partner who I cannot name just yet but I was very happy when I found out who it was. A big thank you goes to Ali at VeryBerryHandmade for organising yet another round of the wonderful ATC swap. Larisa xox
