For a Newborn
Teeny weeny feet. I have made a set for a newborn baby of three burp cloths and one small bib in a simple but joyful grass green polka dot on white muslin.

Fabric Stash Additions
I spoiled myself just a tiny weeny bit the other day. We all need a little bit of prettiness and treats in our lives, don't we? I came across these fat quarter packs from Korea in a local book shop. Yes, a book shop, in a craft section. I couldn't resist buying them. Simple but delicate prints in pure cotton would be great for any small project.
The top three fabrics are called "Strawberry", the middle three cuts are called "Petit" and the bottom ones are called "First Love". Lovely names, don't you think so? I have a couple of ideas where these prints may end up one day. I already used a tiny piece of the red fabric from the "Strawberry" pack, I am going to show you the result soon. Larisa xox

One Idea Leads to Another
A small piece of linen, tiny fabric scraps and a sewing machine. I was trying out an idea for an envelope but ended up with something completely different. This embroidery/applique is based on one of the sketches from the Hedgehogs series. I just wanted to see how it would look like done on the machine. Once the piece was finished, it was too small because it was just a test, but I felt really sorry to throw it away. I had to use it somehow.

Cooking Notes
Do you like cooking or baking? I do. Very much so, especially when I have spare time and the weather is cool. I am always on a lookout for some new quick and easy recipes and new ideas. I tend to bring home a new recipe from places we travel to. Just like the one for muffins (they are truly the best!) I pulled from a local Queenstown newspaper three years ago when we went skiing there.

Totally Handsewn...
... darling tea companions. They are smaller than your ordinary placemats but slightly bigger than coasters. Just the right size to place a cup on it and a small snack while enjoying a cup of tea in a company of a good friend.
