It's ATC Swap Time Again
Ali at VeryBerryHandmade is organising a first Artist Trading Card Swap for this year. You might remember that I participated in the previous run. You can have a look at my ATC gallery here. It was so much FUN! I could not wait for Ali to annouce the next round. I was pleasantly surprised and very touched when Ali asked me if she could use the photo for the swap badge that I took of the card I received from Sian. Thank you Ali and thank you Sian again!

Work in Progress: Economy Blocks
Am I quilting? Yes, I am. It's so much fun! I have made my first ever Economy Block. Well, twelve to be exact. I used a fabric called Pirate Games for this project by Belle & Boo. To be honest with you, I had trouble cutting this print. Even though I wanted to use it, still I really had to talk myself into it, to reassure myself that it was OK to be sewing with this fabric and not just keep it on the shelf. Do you ever feel that way I wonder?

Just for Fun. Funky Softies
This is Mr Squash, big and lumpy. He loves going on a swing all day long. He is quite wise and well behaved. Most of the time.

Baby Quilt Finished
Yay! The first ever baby quilt is finished! It took me a while but it's all done now and ready to be sent far, far away where this blanket is going to keep a tiny and a very special Baby Boy warm and cozy.

Love, Balloons and Tiny Hearts
I have to tell you the truth. Never before till this year I made anything for Valentine's Day. It's something we celebrate with a bunch of flowers for me and chocolates for everyone, and a nice home cooked dinner, nothing else really. Especially no decorations for the house... never. This year, for some unknown reason to me, I felt different. I felt like creating small lovely things to make this day more special with a splash of pink and red.
I enjoyed so much working on fabric love hearts and the garlands, embroidering little Valentine's tags, making a wall hanging that I am going to show you a bit later in the week and finally sewing the placemats. I think I might keep this tradition going with some extra special additions for the next year.

Pretty Gift Tags
What do you think makes any present even more special? Of course a handmade gift tag! So how could I go without any? A sweet addition to my Valentine's Day obsession - handmade gift tags.

Work in Progress: The Biggest Project So Far
Along with some other small projects, I am working on something rather large, the biggest project so far. This is going to be my first ever proper quilt. Not a large one yet but one that is big enough for a baby. A handmade present for a special Little One. I chose a very simple pattern because I was not sure I would have enough patience and skills for something complex at this stage. Any kind of quilting seems complicated to me.

Small Tote Bag and Mr Squash
Funky Birds are back. Well, not all of them but just Mr Squash this time. This is his name according to my Not So Little Boy. Mr Squash is quite large and looks totally puzzled. I don't know why. That's just the way he turned out to be when I sketched him along with some friends.
