It's Lunchtime, Baby!

Phew! It's finished! At last! It took me sooooo long to finish this project. I don't know why but I kept putting it aside after just a few stitches over and over again. But earlier this week it all came together and I managed to finish this project in pretty much one go. I'm glad I did.

Because it turned into a lovely baby set. A placemat and a bib, practical and always useful, and cute as well. It's my first ever bib that I have made using Amy's template. I really like the shape of this bib.

Quick and simple, and very satisfying. I especially enjoyed working on cross-stitch patterns. Designing them on paper first, choosing the colours and then taking them onto the fabric.

I used Zweigart Cashel Linen for the embroidery which is absolutely lovely and easy to work with.

And I enjoyed sewing together all these little squares, arranging them like a puzzle. I just love this mix of colours!

Off I go to get it ready to be sent away. Far, far away... As a gift for a Little, Cute and Very Special Boy. Wising you all a lovely weekend! Larisa xo

  3. So creative, your mix of sewing methods using embroidery etc is a very individual style, I love how you have used the kiddie fabrics too.

    1. Thank you very much, Carole! I wish I could say that it was me who put all the prints together. It was a lovely and very joyful charm pack that I was lucky to spot in one of the shops.
