Everything Gets Used

I had a few failed attempts while working on Kiss Lock Coin Purse Tutorial. I used different types of interfacing and kept adjusting the pattern until I was happy with the final shape. So as a result of this creative process, I ended up with three unfinished little purses that I could not bring myself to throw away or cut for scraps. I kept thinking what I could do with them and after some time there was an "A-ha!" moment. Turn them into cute little hand bags of course!

How? Very simple! Just make a few cuts here and there, and add a handle made of cotton twill tape. This is a great way of making small totes. It definitely goes on my To-Do list but in a much bigger size.

I think if I was a little girl, I would've love a teeny-weeny purse like that for my doll or even for myself to carry some v-e-r-y important things around. Not much can fit in it but it doesn't really matter as long as it's tiny and has a flower on it. Right?

I am going to keep these bags till Christmas I think, and I will put them as an extra gift for our little friends who would find a good use for them.

I am glad I didn't throw the unfinished purses away and found a great way to use them. Nothing gets wasted this way in my little sewing nook and gets a chance to be useful and bring some joy to Little Ones. Happy sewing! Larisa xo

    1. Thank you, Gina! I know it's strange but I already started thinking about Christmas, it has a tendency to arrive so fast and almost unexpected. :-)
