Making Little Pretty Things

That's what I was busy with before we left on our trip. Making little, hopefully useful, but definitely pretty things. I made stamped linen ribbons with pink and red running stitches. So easy to make but really satisfying, especially when you don't have much time but feel like crafting a bit. They are great for making tags or adding it as it is to any project.

I got myself this tiny glass display cabinet for storing some of the accessories that I really like looking at. To be honest with you, it's not really a display cabinet, it's a box for storing teas. But shhh... don't tell anyone. It's simply perfect for small pretty things.

Once the ribbons were ready, I realised that I didn't have any spools for storage. After a bit of brainstorming, I decided to make my own fabric spools. They are great! A bit messy and time consuming to make but the result is fantastic and very useful too.

I made the spools in three different sizes, the smallest is about 3cm tall. Making fabric spools is a nice way of using up scraps too. Have a wonderful week everybody! Larisa xox
