Knitting used to be a huge part of my life, it was my relaxing time, my by myself time, my getting away from it all time and my stay warm in winter tactic as well. I loved it! Scarfs, hats, gloves, mittens, jumpers, dresses, cardigans, with buttons and ties, with any ornaments and stitches, with buckles and pom-poms... you name it. There was nothing too complicated for me to make when it came to knitting. There was always someone to share all the tricks and tips on knitting with and to compare our achievements.
So here it is my interpretation of the theme. I hope my secret partner likes it and maybe even enjoys knitting as much as I used to enjoy it.
The card was fun to make. I was going to make a scarf first but quickly decided to make a jumper instead. It took me four attempts to knit this tiny jumper, the previous three versions were way too big to fit on the card. Then I had to break off the party cocktail picks and sharpen them with a nail file to make them look like knitting needles. The last part was making the ball of yarn. Fun! Fun! Fun!
I am finishing one more card for this swap which is going to be very useful this time around because I volunteered to be the swap angel and there is already someone in need of a spare card. It's almost ready and I can't wait to show it to you soon. Hope you all have a lovely weekend! Larisa xox
How cute and I love the little easel!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The easel is really cute, I like displaying small paintings on it and now ATCs.
Deletethe teeny, tiny jumper is amazing and i can't wait to see the rest of your other card!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gina! It's ready now. :-)
DeleteAh! Now I understand why you put knitting on your card! Good for you being a swap angel - a very important job!
ReplyDeleteI should have put an explanation on Flickr at the very start as well because it's quite confusing why I chose knitting for the theme.
