Fabric Stash: A Shopping Spree

Me, who really doesn't enjoy shopping, ended up going on a shopping spree... online... while I still had my cast on. It was a great excuse to buy more fabric and feel a bit sorry for myself. Hee hee... I suppose I should forget all about trying hard to use fabric that is in my stash only and admit that I have an addiction. A fabric addiction, just like many of us have. And admit that I love shopping for fabric.

A little stack in purple and a tiny bit of lace. I absolutely love these tiny purple flowers at the bottom. I have already used some of the polka dot fabric for a small and sweet project.

And a stack in shades of pink.

Flowers, flowers everywhere.

Oh, so delicious! The three prints from the bottom I bought a few days ago at a newly discovered fabric store. What a choice they have there! Luckily I was there with my friend and I didn't want to make her wait for me, so I left with only three small cuts. Otherwise, I would've spent hours there. One of the ladies at the shop asked me if I ever kept buying more and more of the same fabric only because I felt sorry to use it and after cutting a small piece for a project marched back to the shop to get more. Tick the box - I have done it. A few times. Have you?

The strawberry fabric is shaping up into something lovely that I am going to show you very very soon. As for the rest of the prints, I have no plans yet, I am just looking at them and dreaming away, getting lost in all these fields of tiny pretty flowers. Happy dreaming! Larisa xo

  1. So wonderful, what a lovely choice you have. I just discovered the lovely story books that you like today too. I love your work and your passion for fabrics. I have just sent for a few on line pieces of half metres, trouble is the garden is taking all my time and I'm wishing for winter, how bad is that!

    1. Not bad at all! I sometimes wish we didn't have to eat so I could spend all that extra time sewing instead of cooking. :-) Online shopping is great, the only thing that I don't like about it that you can't feel the fabrics you are buying. Happy shopping!

    1. I understand you so much, Dina! I really have to push myself to cut some of my favourite prints. I am already thinking of going back to that store for more of the strawberry one. I thought of you while I was at that store, I am sure you would love it. Sending you the info now.
